Showing Up

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it really means to show up for my own health and well-being.
I teach movement, mindfulness and balance, but that doesn’t mean I always find it easy to practice them in my own life. There are weeks when I’m consistent, and others when life gets busy and my own wellness moves down the list. Finding balance isn’t something I’ve mastered—it’s something I continue to practice.
Right now, I’m leaning on a few tools that are helping me come back to what matters:
The Yoga Yamas & Niyamas — reminders to live with intention, self-awareness, discipline and compassion.
Be Responsible by Lisa Chase — a local physical therapist whose work with elite athletes has shaped how I think about taking greater responsibility for understanding, caring for and listening to my body.
Younger by Dr. Vonda Wright — encouraging me to think about strength, movement and daily habits as an investment in how I want to feel and live as I age.
And I continue to receive Grateful Living in my inbox—a simple reminder to pause, notice what is here and practice gratitude.
As the holidays approach, I know balance may become even more challenging. Schedules fill, routines shift, and there is more to give to everyone around us.
So my intention this season is simple: keep showing up. Not perfectly. Not every day. Just continuing to return to the practices that help me feel strong, grounded and well.
Maybe balance isn’t about getting it right all the time. Maybe it’s about knowing how to come back.
